Reading, spelling  and  comprehension problems may be due to a language based learning disability, which includes  phonemic awareness.   Dyslexia may also be caused by spatial disorientation, resulting in problems with reversals, handwriting, and visual sequencing.

Remediation/intervention may include Master the Code, Orton Gillingham Training, Stevenson, or other systematic, explicit multi-sensory  programs.
